Are you kidding me Fred?

In 1969 when I was four I vaguely remember the Mets winning. In 1973 my neighbor, Andy Pfeffer, came home from a Mets playoff game with a piece of the sod from the field at Shea. I grew up rooting for the Mets in the 70’s and early 80’s with little to root for. In 1986 I had my day on the field and walked away with some warning track dirt at the clinching game – 9/17/86. Since then not much for 14 more years, when 1999 produced the grand slam single. I was there in 2000 to see them lose to the hated Yankees. Read More
